UGC NET

University Grants Commission (UGC) of India conducts National Eligibility Test (NET) to determine eligibility for lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals in order to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in the teaching profession and research.

The test is conducted in Humanities (including languages), Social Sciences, Forensic Science, Environmental Sciences, Computer Science and Applications and Electronic Science.

The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) conducts the UGC-CSIR NET for other Science subjects.

The test is conducted in Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Earth Atmospheric Ocean & Planetary Sciences jointly with the UGC.

The tests are conducted twice in a year generally in the months of June and December.

The result for June, UGC-NET is declared generally in the month of October.

Similarly December, UGC-NET result is usually declared in the month of April.

UGC (University Grants Commission) conducts NET (National Eligibility Test) exam to determine eligibility for lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals in order to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in the teaching profession and research. The subjects of this test are Social seiences, environmental sciences, forensic sciences, computer science and application and electronic science.

CSIR (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research) also conducts the UGC-CSIR NET for other Science subjects, namely, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Earth Atmospheric Ocean & Planetary Sciences jointly with the UGC.

UGC or University Grants Commission which is located at New Delhi has been established by Government of India and it is taking care of the standards of university education in India. It also has six regional centres at Pune, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Bhopal, Guwahati and Bangalore.

UGC has recognised various Indian universities in different states of India. Some of these recognised universities are central universities, some are deemed universities while some are private universities.

UGC recognised universities are offering various courses in different streams. Many colleges are also affiliated with some of these universities.

UGC recognised universities in india are a symbol of authenticity of degree. If a student get degree from a ugc recognised university he or she become sure that his or her degree is a valid degree.

The National Educational Testing Bureau of UGC conducts National Eligibility Test (NET) to determine eligibility for lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals in order to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in the teaching profession and research.
